So when my exchange year began (oh yes one more post about his exchange year, bla bla bla), I've discovered a hole new way to go to places. YES, riding a bike was not something I was used to do in Brazil, first of all because its dangerous to go riding your bike around my city and the distances are too big. In Germany thought, I could go EVERYWHERE! Of course I didn't traveled with it, but I could just go to the train station with it and leave my bike locked there. A bicicle now represents freedom for me. Probably I'll do a tattoo of it someday.
So, enjoy this video and this exciting song.
It sounds like a cliche, but New York City is my dream city. It is actually one of the biggest cliches ever, but NYC is still a dream city. Now imagine me, a video lover, a NYC lover, a music lover, watching this video. How Andrew Clancy combined the amazing shoots with the awesome song "We Don't Eat", by James Vincent McMorrow, I have no idea. But he did it well. Oh, he did.
It is incredibly weird, when you stop and think how a song can make you feel better. And how it can also make you sad. Or even makes you want to travel all over the world, or when it makes you want to just stay home, laying down in the bed and thinking about what's happening out there.
Javi Devitt always knows how to match songs with videos, pictures, feelings, experiences. He is my favorite videomaker so far, the way he shares each trip he goes on, the way he puts the background music in accordance with each image displayed, it's just amazing. It makes me feel like riding my bike, feels like freedom, feels like you don't have to worry about anything, just stay where you are and relax for a time.
